Emily

Wednesday, October 25, 2006

I met Emily and her mom in historic Mooresville, AL earlier this afternoon for Emily's senior portraits. We had an extremely overcast day to deal with light-wise but we still managed to get some great photos!

We started in front of an old general store that is currently a restaurant. It had this great old sign.

It also had a cool looking set of antique doors.

Emily's mom had mentioned that she wanted some fall foliage in some of her pictures. I had the perfect spot in mind but by the time we got there it was dark....I am not looking forward to the time changing this weekend! Anyway...we made our own daylight!

Lil' Luke

Tuesday, October 24, 2006

One of my best friends and his wife recently brought home their first baby...Luke. Luke showed up a little early but he is growing fast and doing just fine!

I hoped to shoot the majority of his portraits with natural window light but our fall afternoons are providing less and less light to work with as we get closer to the time change. So all of these were shot with a single softbox and strobe.

I also want to take this opportunity to apologize to Cory and Sabrina for the baby pee-pee that wound up on the dresser pictured below...I'll take responsibility for that one...my bad.

Congratulations to Cory and Sabrina on this incredible blessing!
